Wrexham finished deadline day with two signings. Callum O'Hare arrives from Sheffield United on a three-year contract with an option for a fourth year, in a deal ESPN reports could reach £7m; The Star put the guaranteed fee at around £6m. Joe Worrall joins from Burnley for a fee reported as £2m.

O'Hare, 28, made 45 league appearances and scored eight goals for the Blades last season, and becomes Phil Parkinson's seventh signing of the summer. "I want to help the club go in the right direction and hopefully get what everyone wants — promotion to the Premier League," he said.

Worrall, 29, joined Burnley from Nottingham Forest in 2024 and played 11 Premier League games last season. His arrival follows Conor Coady's departure from the Racecourse by mutual consent. "I'm here to win football matches and achieve something special," Worrall said.

Wrexham went into the deadline with two draws and a defeat from their opening three Championship games. The spending pattern from August continues: a reported £8m record fee for Anthony Patterson, then a midfielder and a centre-back on the last day. Survival was the public target after promotion; the recruitment says otherwise.
